Bobbin winder rebuild

Hi Weavers ,
Those who do a lot of sectional warping you know you use your bobbin winder faithfully.
I have used it for years . I am hard on it putting all size bobbins into the winder . I save my tubes from yarns too. Do you buy Brassard cotton , well they make great bobbins when you use up the yarn .i fill my rack with them when I need to fill it .
The motor has been replaced a couple of times. I go to Grainger to get my motors . They are used in sewing machines as well as the pedal I get from Grainger.

 The one thing that has bothered me and I finally fixed .The spring underneath broke repeatedly.
Well the bobbin winder use to bounce around terrible. The noise was deafening. I used ear plugs to prevent the loud noise from hurting my ears.
Well replacing the spring fixed all that . It runs smoothly now and is pleasant now to work with .

Teal blue off white navy and white beige hand cut cotton fabrics  On a natural white warp  24 x 36  2 feet by 3 feet $120 plus sh  Close up of a section of the rag rug  More of the rag rug  It is called a rag rug here in New England  What it refers to in this scatter rug  Is that there are strips of cloth cut and placed inside a warp or in between the cotton threads while under tension on a loom My particular loom is a floor loom 60 inches wide  I can create different width in size rugs and go for how ever long. the rug needs to be I created this rug 2 feet wide and went 40 inches long  When I cut the rug off the loom it shrunk like a rubber band being released from under tension  So I lost 4 inches as the material and yarn shrunk up immediately  I added at the ends a woven hem keeping all the fabric strips in place . Recorded weaving projects

 How many weavers record their work ? I have notebooks of past projects with notes so to help me in my future projects . I also repeat my fabric designs and as I get older I don’t always remember the epi or ends per inch . Also the color ways or dye recipes . Here is my notebook closet . I started out  with journals but I grew as I like to keep a piece of the fabric also recorded. Drop me a line or photo of your records!
