Tablerunner woven pumpkin and tan


Simple windowpane check woven in beautiful pumpkin colors. This will be my next fabric to create when I get done with the indigo and stoneware I am working on right now. I am always dreaming of what is going to be next and that is what spurs me on.

This is  an old  piece of weaving equipment with an old spool of weaving yarn still in its original wrapper.These were given to me by various people who did not want to throw them away but thought since I weave and their mother or aunt use to weave then I would want to have them. Boy !are they right!I just love my old things.They tell me how hard  they worked and what pride they had in creating the items that they felt their family would enjoy. Recorded weaving projects

 How many weavers record their work ? I have notebooks of past projects with notes so to help me in my future projects . I also repeat my fabric designs and as I get older I don’t always remember the epi or ends per inch . Also the color ways or dye recipes . Here is my notebook closet . I started out  with journals but I grew as I like to keep a piece of the fabric also recorded. Drop me a line or photo of your records! A Weaving Experience!

 I am offering a weaving experience in my studio for four days . I will let you use my floor loom already set up to weave!  Two hours each morning weaving then you can explore the Maine coast.Weaving is relaxing and fun to do!You will learn basics and weave twill ,reversing twill and plain weave.when finished you can take home two hand towels.
